During his over forty-five-year career, Michael has been a successful entrepreneur, co-founding or investing in multiple firms that help clients with their overall wealth planning and objectives, including Benson Blackburn, a charitable administration company, and two multi-family offices, with combined assets under administration or management of over $12 Billion.

Michael is the Founder of the NextGen Speaker Series which began in 2013 to foster Leadership, Mentorship, Empowerment, and Philanthropy in the greater Naples Community. Over the years, NextGen has hosted 38 speakers, most of them nationally recognized business leaders, and hosted over 5,000 attendees.

Michael has personally interviewed over two dozen Fortune 500 CEOs and top entrepreneurs in the country. The list includes former CEOs from: Walmart, Best Buy, McDonalds, Caterpillar, Johnsonville Sausage, Hoffmann Companies, Cintas, Steris, Emerson, OfficeMax, Arthrex, and many more.

In addition to Michael’s professional career, he has served on numerous charitable boards in leadership positions focused on governance and strategic planning, including the Immokalee Foundation, Center for Abused Women and Children, David Lawrence Center, and currently serving as the Chair of First Tee of Naples/Collier. His personal philanthropic giving has included each of these organizations along with NCH and many others in Collier County.
